Astrid's research focuses on public-private partnerships driving smart city development. As technological systems become more important in urban governance, technology companies play an increasingly influential role in cities. This PhD examines the legal and normative implications of PPPs focused on new technologies, the interaction between municipal governments and the smart city movement, and the new issues for public-private collaboration that emerge in this context.
