Teodora Groza
Teodora Groza
Teodora is one of the talented students that Professor Sofia Ranchordas mentors in her free time. Teodora pursued an LLB in International and European Law and a BA in Philosophy at the University of Groningen. In 2019 she won the Laurence Gormley Thesis Prize for her Bachelor Thesis. During her undergraduate studies, she took part in a research project on digital participation. In September 2019, she will be continuing her studies with an LLM in Economic Law at SciencesPo Paris.
Madalina Nicolai
Madalina is currently in the third and final year of her Bachelor degree on International and European Law at the University of Groningen. Throughout her studies, she has shown interest in writing about Social Media, Data Privacy, and European Constitutional Law. In 2018 she was part of the organization team of the conference 'Blockchain, Public Law, and Public Trust' that took place at the University of Groningen and was responsible for social media marketing. This summer, Madalina participated in the Honours College Summer School in Lisbon on Digital Democracy and Populism.
Kyrill Ryabtsev
Kyrill is a third-year student at the University of Groningen, studying International and European Law. Alongside his studies, Kyrill works as a Student Assistant on projects related to European Citizenship. He is also currently working on a research on Internet governance under the supervision of Professor Sofia Ranchordas. In 2018 he integrated the organization team of the conference 'Blockchain, Public Law, and Public Trust' that took place at the University of Groningen. This summer, Kyrill attended the Honours College Summer School which focused on the activity of CERN in Geneva.
Michaela Stavridou
Michaela Stavridou is a third-year student in International and European Law at the University of Groningen. She is also a student of Honors College and participated in a summer school on Energy Law in George Washington University. She has a strong passion for fairness and equality within society. Michaela is currently developing a research project on social media, fashion law, and body positivity under the supervision of Sofia Ranchordas. Her research examines legislation and practices which allow, promote or prohibit certain behaviors and beliefs which may influence women, and especially young girls, regarding their perception of body image and self-worth. In 2020 she will organise an interdisciplinary workshop together with Professor Sofia Ranchordas on this topic.
